A Berks County company has been fined after a construction flagger was killed in a 2024 crash in Lancaster County, federal officials announced.
Linetta Wells, 56, of Pottstown, died on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, when an SUV struck her as she directed traffic at Stone Mill and Plymouth roads in Manor Township around 7:38 a.m., according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. She was pronounced dead at the scene one hour later, the office said.

On Wednesday, Aug. 27, Jess Janowich and Matt Hughes were involved in a wild crash that left them both seriously injured and temporarily out of work.
Janowich suffered a brain bleed, punctured lung, fractured rib, and dislocated pinky, leaving her out of work for several weeks, according to organizers of a fundraiser on their behalf.

An 81-year-old man was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on I-81 in Schuylkill County, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office announced on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
Esau Foster, 81, was pronounced dead on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 5:59 p.m. in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, according to the release.
Foster was the driver of a vehicle that collided with a semi-truck on I-81 northbound at mile marker 119.4 in Butler Township at approximately 2:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, investigators said.
