Police ID Woman Killed In Freak Accident At Jacob's Pillow Theater; No Charges Expected
A tragic accident at the historic Jacob’s Pillow dance center has left one employee dead, local authorities say.
Kathryn “Kat” Sirico, a seasonal employee at the Becket, Massachusetts, theater, was helping a summer intern move stage platforms on a dolly across the property on Friday, Aug. 1. As they navigated a sloped area, the dolly began to roll out of control. Sirico attempted to stop it, but fell and was struck by the dolly, causing the platforms to fall on them, authorities said.
Bystanders rushed to help and tried to save their life.

A 21-year-old Salem County woman was killed in a crash on the Delaware River Bridge on Saturday, Jan. 11, authorities said.
At 12:20 p.m., a Dodge Ram pickup truck crashed into a tractor trailer, a spokesman for the Delaware River and Bay Authority said. Jaida Small, a Pennsville resident, was killed at the scene, authorities said.
Both drivers were uninjured, authorities said.

Derek Graves, of Chesterfield, died in a snowmobile crash around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, according to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
