The search for a missing Maryland man in Shenandoah National Park has ended in tragedy.
The body of Robert “Bob” Bieri, 61, was found at 12:13 p.m. on Monday, July 7, near Lewis Falls, where he had last been seen, Shenandoah National Park officials said in a statement released Monday afternoon.
Bieri, of Severna Park, was reported missing on the evening of Saturday, July 5. He was last seen off-trail in the Lewis Falls area, according to park spokesperson Allysah Fox.

Nearly six weeks after a Putnam County man disappeared without a trace over Memorial Day weekend, his wife is turning to the public for help in keeping the search going.
